Keroche tax evasion probe : DPP orders arrest of directors

The Director Of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji has ordered the immediate arrest and prosecution of Keroche industries managing director Tabitha Karanja and her husband Joseph Karanja for allegedly evading to pay tax amounting to 14.4 Billion shillings.

In a statement dispatched to newsrooms, haji says the two directors alongside the company will face 10 counts of evading to pay tax on various brands of alcohol manufactured by the Naivasha based brewery.

The directive was issued even as a Kiambu court ordered 9 bank accounts owned by businessman Humphrey Kariuki frozen over a 41 billion shillings tax evasion probe.
