The Day of Arafat is one of the most important days in the Islamic calendar. During the day pilgrims travel to the mount, spend a day there praying and move again for another 9 km (5.60 miles) to Muzdalifah.
The Hajj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and, according to Islamic scripture, must be performed by every able-bodied believer with the financial means at least once in their lifetime.
