Outdoor Vitals 'Atlas Hybrid' 30F Sleeping Bag Review - 3-day overnight backpack

Outdoor Vitals 'Atlas Hybrid' 30F Sleeping Bag Review - 3-day overnight backpack My review of Outdoor Vitals' new Atlas Hybrid 30°F LoftTek™ Hybrid Sleeping Bag. I unbox at home and then took it on a 3-day backpacking trip.

This bag provides the benefits of down insulation (lightweight, warm, compressible) without the downsides of down (fails when wet). This is accomplished by using a mixture (hybrid) of 80% LoftTek (artificial down) with 20% real 800+ fill power down, allowing the benefits of down, but the moisture advantages of synthetic. Water simply drains out of the bag while staying completely warm and lofted. DWR coatings on the shell prevent water from entering in the first place.

Weight: 2 lbs 2.6 oz (+ 3.7 oz sack)
Shell: 20 Denier Ripstop Nylon with VitalDry™ DWR
Lining: 20 Denier Ripstop Nylon
Insulation Type: 80% LoftTek™ Synthetic / 20% Down
