THE RUNDOWN | IDF Foreign Media Spokesperson Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus spoke with Nurit Ben on the recent report of Hezbollah's missile-precision program.
More: Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Thursday that it had new information on Hezbollah's precision missile program in Lebanon that has been further developed in recent months.
The IDF spokesperson said the Shi'ite group is housing dozens of precision missiles in Lebanon, including in densely populated areas, following six years of efforts along with Iran's elite Qud's Force.
But their efforts towards mass production of the missiles have been thwarted, the IDF assured.
The IDF nevertheless says it holds Lebanon accountable for the missiles' manufacture, after the government took issue with an attack targeting a cement-mixing site for the production of motors for the precision missiles.
Most of the missile production sites are in the south of the country were Hezbollah is active and are deliberately located in highly populated areas in order to deter enemies from targeting them.
The IDF also revealed the identities of three Iranians and one senior Hezbollah member leading the weapons project: , Commander of the Lebanon Corps in the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Muhammad Hussein-Zada Hejazi, Technological Director of the IRGC's precision missle program Majid Nuab, Chief Logistics Officer of the IRGC Ali Asrar Nuruzi and Commander of Hezbollah's precision missile program Fuad Shukr.
