Mesmerising video shows kayakers wade through glowing blue water in Florida | SWNS TV

This is the moment stunned kayakers captured a lagoon turning bright blue - as rare bioluminescent plankton shone bright beneath the surface. The incredible phenomenon only occurs when the organisms are disturbed by waves or currents, with the magical glow acting as a defense mechanism. The anomaly only happens at at night and can only be seen in few places around the world. On this rare occasion however, they were captured by Justin Buzzi, 28, as he visited a peaceful lagoon in Florida to try and catch a glimpse first-hand.
