This tutorial "folding toilet paper" is very different from the normal method as it uses the new water seal on an origami sailboat being easy and a unique way to spice up your bathroom at no extra cost or tools needed. The three designs shown are all with the NEW water seal technique and all the equipment you need is in the bathroom and you didn’t even know it. The three different designs are as follows: TOILET PAPER TRIANGLE FOLD AND SEAL
This toilet paper triangle fold TAKES ONLY 20 SECONDS. You see it in hotels and cruise ships. In fact, this is the design which started the entire phenomena of toilet paper folding. Folding toilet paper into a triangle is so prevalent that an elderly Japanese gentleman invented an automated toilet paper folding machine called "Meruboa". With the push of a lever, Meruboa will fold the first sheet of toilet paper into a perfect triangle. Manufacturers plan to make over 10,000 Meruboa holders per month, valuing over one billion yen per year. Master this easy fold and you’ll be itching to try the more complex designs.
TOILET PAPER SAIL BOAT AND SEAL
This toilet paper boat is fun and whimsical. The best part is that it is easy to make and takes less than 3 minutes to complete. If you have trouble making the origami boat, just tear off the sheet and start again. Ocean, beach, and water-play are common themes for bathrooms, so why not add a sailboat on your toilet rolls. It’s a cute design which you don’t want to flush down the toilet.
TOILET PAPER MEDAL AND SEAL
The Toilet Paper medal fold and seal takes only 1.5 minutes. This design is half a Sail Boat and is supper easy to do. If you've mastered the Sail Boat you can do this one with your eyes closed.
TIPS FOR FOLDING TOILET PAPER:
* Work with high quality, two-ply toilet paper as it is more sturdy
* Take the toilet paper off of the roll holder for easier folding.
* Crease your edges firmly with the back of a spoon
* If you make a mistake, tear off the piece and start again
* Check you tap end has a strainer or the seal will be difficult
BOOKS:
Stephen Gill spent 3 years photographing the folded toilet papers in hotels from various countries. He published a 52-page book called Anonymous Origami which shows the folded toilet papers. Linda Wright published a book showing how to fold elaborate origami designs with toilet paper. These TP creations are above and beyond the expected.
