Burkina Faso - Popular Uprisings: A call for change

Burkina Faso - Popular Uprisings: A call for change This is a story of a popular uprising in Burkina Faso. We have been told that democracy is the power by the people and for the people. This requires the right for each citizen to choose their leader through transparent elections. Sometimes, the right is given by the law but cannot be applied because of some cultural and political strongholds.
How can change for better governance happen in this context? How and why does this happen? What have been the political consequences and impact in Africa?
