Sedition law of the Indian Penal Code has been the most controversial law since the colonial era. The same law was used by Britishers to convict freedom fighters. Recently, 49 celebrities has been booked under sedition, public nuisance, hurting religious feelings and insulting with an intent to provoke breach of peace.....all because a letter was written to the PM with nothing more than a plea and facts.
