After the public announcement of not to accept garbage from any neighboring constituencies, Saligao locals have apprehended a wet garbage truck and handed over to police. Local MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar has stated that they would not allow any garbage truck in Saligao plant without proper care against spillage and license. He has also warned to agitate to stop trucks from entering his constituency. Meanwhile, CCP Mayor has appealed Saligao MLA Jayesh Salgaokar to allow garbage on humanitarian basis.
