My kitchen oven needed a little love in the cleaning department, so I was excited to test out the kitchen cleaner from Malomart. There was a cooked-on stain in the bottom and several blackened crumbs that have been baking onto the metal surface for quite some time, but it’s nowhere near the disgusting grease mess that the Malomart listing showed as examples in the photos and videos. I tested the Malomart kitchen cleaner according to the instructions online because everything on the spray can was written in Chinese.
The scent was a little overpowering like chemicals, not like a lemon-lime scent that was suggested on the bottom of the can. I sprayed it on, left it for the recommended 5 minutes, and then wiped it clean. The surface crumbs came off easily, but the main black stain was still definitely stuck-on. I tried it again with a 30-minute wait time and a little more black came off onto my paper towel, but it was still much the same.
I’ll try it again with a full overnight soak (not explicitly recommended by the listing)… so far the product doesn’t appear to give me the same amazing results that are shown on the site, but honestly it looked a little too good to be true. It does seem (and smell) like strong chemicals, though, so I’ll keep trying it with a little elbow grease!
As it turns out, the ‘overnight soak’ method mentioned in one of the site’s reviews wasn’t really an option. I poked my head into the oven about an hour later and all of the chemical foam had dissipated and dried off, leaving no further improvement. I think the mystery cleaner has reached its limit, and the stain is still definitely baked on. Too bad!
