For the first method in our video, we will be using the No Right Click Images plugin found here:
With the plugin installed and activated, you can go to Settings, No Right Click Images to modify the settings. The plugin gives the option to right click images if you are logged in but otherwise, the default settings should handle what most users are looking for. Now, when you're logged out of your site and try to right click an image it will prevent the right click.
Another plugin option we can recommend would be Envira Gallery found here:
This plugin does require a purchase for the features we plan to use so once the plugin is purchased, installed, and activated, you will go under Envira Gallery, Settings to add your license key. Now that the plugin is set up, to protect your images you will go under Envira Gallery, Addons and scroll down to the protection addon to install and activate it.
With the Addon activated you can create or edit an already created gallery and under the Misc section, you can enable the image protection as well as have a custom popup message informing users that you have image protection enabled. Now when you add the gallery to one of your posts or pages it will prevent right clicking on that image.
The number one reason to prevent right clicks is to prevent image theft and make it harder for users to download your images. These methods are a good preventative step but do note that if they are determined enough then users can still get your images by downloading the entire page.
