When we look at growing our hair out and the “best” way to do it, there’s 2 ways we can look at it.
1. Constantly searching for techniques and tips to on how to grow out your hair without looking stupid.
2. Having enough internal confidence to not give a crap about looking stupid and being laser focused on the end goal.
Both options are handy however, there’s 2 massive differences between these two options that play a massive role in whether or not you’ll actually end up growing your hair out to its full potential. Let’s take a closer look at both options.
Tips & Tricks For Growing Your Hair Out
There really is only so many tips and tricks to disguise the awkward phase and realistically option one will only get you so far.
You’ll also realise when the tactics to disguise your ugly middle stage hair growth run out, you’ll find yourself having constant internal conflict about not looking good. In the long run we consider this bad because it can put you in a negative mind set about yourself and will essentially be the one thing that stops you from following through with your hair growth goal.
The other thing that should be taken into account (if you aren’t already experiencing this) is the external comments that come from others during the hair growth process. We see this all the time where guys feel internally aggravated because of what others have to say about their hair during the hair whilst they are growing it out.
They feel embarrassed from being judged by others and because they are already talking negatively to themselves about it makes it even worse. Then when the tips and tricks run out and don’t work any more, it’s clear why so many guys fail to grow there hair out successfully right?
In saying that though, the above doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look for awkward stage tips while you are growing your hair out. All I am trying to say is that if you only focus on this during your hair growth journey you are going to set yourself up for failure and I REALLY want you to succeed.
Back when I was growing his hair out, I made a groovy video about the tips and tricks that helped me disguise my ugly middle stage hair through stages 1 to 5. The tips are practical and well worth giving a try. I've also documented my entire hair growth journey on this YouTube Channel and you can click here to watch the entire journey:
Just remember, tips will only get you so far and although it might feel like it, you are not alone on this journey. (The next section of this post will explain why)
On the other hand, by building up your internal confidence to not give a crap about looking amazing during the process and staying laser focused on your goal has far more longevity.
So how do we actually do this when we start our hair growth journey? Good question!
That’s exactly what our hair growth community is for. Of course having the tips and tricks ready to execute is great to have but where confidence really comes from in human beings is feeling connected and supported by each other.
Think about it, when you do something difficult on your own compared to when you do it with a friend, it's comforting right? You’re both doing the activity together, you both are having a similar experience and can both relate to whatever happens. The same goes for growing your hair out.
Being connected and supported by others experiencing the same struggles as you = confidence that you aren’t alone and you can all rely on each other to help when you need it.
We see this kind of support all the time in our Hair Growth Community and the fact the group has over 2000 guys growing out their out already says something. So if you are really serious about embarking on this journey, stop thinking so much about “how to grow out your hair without looking stupid” and start thinking how can I get connected and confident in order to show the awkward stage and all the haters who’s boss.
