The presidential office remains open to the possibility of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un coming to Busan for the Korea-ASEAN special summit which takes place in two weeks.
A senior Cheongwadae official said there has been no visible progress to share on the matter yet, but organizers continue to prepare for the possible visit.
The proposal was first made by Indonesian President Joko Widodo last year.
Seoul's top intel agency even said there is a chance Kim could cross the border for the event.
But there has been no response from the regime yet.
