The Art of the Adaptation

You want to adapt your novel, your play into a screenplay. Novelist and screenwriter Richard Vetere and Authors Guild general counsel Cheryl Davis answer the important questions you need to know about adapting your work for the screen. Does your contract with your publisher allow you to do it? If so, how do you approach the adaptation process? What creative questions should you ask yourself first?
