Christmas isn't the same holiday in Japan that it is in other countries. Last year $69,000,000 worth of fried chicken was sold from KFC during the five days surrounding Christmas so that families could sit down and eat a bucket of fried chicken together for dinner. My American wife is bewildered and a little indignant at this custom. So this year I thought I'd try to see if I could make gourmet fried chicken worthy of a Christmas dinner. Did I succeed in making it fancy enough?
