Vietnam Vet Frank Romeo endured trauma for 2 decades until he was properly diagnosed with 100% post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Romeo explains how once he learned about PTSD he understood where those feelings of isolation and loneliness were coming from and he was able to come to terms with it and turn it into something positive.

Since his diagnosis, Frank Romeo has made it his life mission to help raise awareness and help destigmatize the conversation around veterans suffering from PTSD. He's now partnered with his alma mater Bay Shore High School to create a program called 'The Experience of the American Soldier.' The program puts a human face to the people who serve our country, featuring personal photos, letters, and artwork from soldiers.

Frank continues to use his 50 years of experience with trauma and decades of advocacy work to help follow veterans and educate the next generation. For more information about Frank and his mission
