Ye Hawa Ye Raat Ye Chandni performed by Tabla for Two Tabla for Two performing:

“Ye Hawa Ye Raat Ye Chandni”

Sung by Talat Mahmood
Composed by Sajjad Hussain
Lyrics by Rajinder Krishna

Song Meaning:
In Ye Hawa Ye Raat, the protagonist (Dilip Kumar) is mesmerized by this woman who he meets. He says the wind, the night and the moonlight, have all sacrificed themselves because of her elegant ways.
Even if he may not desire her, just pursuing her feels like spring to him. Suggesting that her presence brings with it, pleasant moments. He tells her that she has no idea about the impact she’s had on him. A single gaze from her, makes a lasting impression on him. The ones who get passionate, end up wanting to marry her. The ones who are kind, are the people who find peace and tranquillity. Every time she speaks, he finds her conversations heart touching. He believes there’s no one as beautiful as this woman. Comparing her to the joy one gets when looking at flowers that are about to bloom. Her eyes intoxicate him every single time.

Tabla for Two

Playing for Peace

Tabla for Two was formed in 2012 when Abigail Adams Greenway and Masood Omari met in the Zamani House of Heritage, an Afghan textile showroom in Washington, DC. They formed a musical partnership after Abigail studied tabla with Masood. She totally immersed herself in her tabla studies to the extent that she left aside her career as a visual artist. Later she learned to play the harmonium as a natural development of her classical Indian music studies. Inspired by someone who could keep the beat to accompany his musical travels, Masood began composing new music for two tabla players, particularly including one (Abigail) playing the three daya. Utilizing the classical structure, Masood has written modern tabla compositions that are mesmerizing. Tabla For Two represents the best in East-West cooperation.
