Evan Kinney Teaches Fiddlin’ John Carson’s 'Engineer On the Mogul - Georgia Oldtime

Jon Bekoff Project for the Advancement of Georgia Oldtime Music for January 2020 presents Evan Kinney teaching a Fiddlin John tune "Engineer on the Mogul". Simple G tune with a classic Georgia bowing pattern. It fits along with the mantra "Ride old buck to water", wherein the bowing gets staccato at "buCK TO water" - make sure you get that short bowing at that spot to sound real Georgia.
Guitar back up by Isaac Spence, a college student. Both Isaac and Evan's dads used to jam together.
