Ham Steak in a Cast Iron Skillet

Ham Steak in a Cast Iron Skillet When you come across a big ham steak weighing about two pounds, for only two dollars, this is certainly a bargain that shouldn't be passed up. Not the least because ham steak is one of the easiest foods you can possibly make, especially if you have a vintage cast iron skillet. I'm a fan of flipping my steaks in order to evenly cook both sides, so we cook this for about two minutes per side, flip, and flip again after two minutes. We melt a quarter cup of butter in the pan, and mix in a quarter cup of brown sugar. Then we cook the steak for about another two minutes, flip and cook until it's ready.
