IONITY's huge price hike: did they make charging more expensive than Diesel?

As of January 31st, IONITY changes their flat fee of €8 per charge to a very expensive €0,79/kWh. This is for all EVs except for the brands that have a special contract with IONITY, such as Audi, Porsche, Daimler and BMW. They get cheaper rates, but the prices still vary widely.
