is personal. As a military dependent navigating through many different environments, I had to learn the importance of being myself. This talk will help you understand the impact societal norms have on your ability to think beyond your own limitations (known and unknown) to become the best version of yourself, and will provide practical strategies to explore confidence through the lens of societal and cultural norms.
Dr. Bahby Banks is a highly sought after leadership strategist, diversity consultant and implementation scientist based in Durham, North Carolina. She is the founder and CEO of Pillar Consulting, a program evaluation research firm dedicated to helping non-profit, philanthropic and corporate organizations measure the impact of their initiatives. Dr. Banks’s work has led to a career that has spanned the Americas, Africa, Europe, and Australia. This multilingual scholar is also the creator and facilitator of ENVISION Empowerment Experience™, a leadership intensive that helps attendees develop strategies and create roadmaps to achieve their personal and professional goals. In her spare time, Dr. Banks enjoys trying new cuisine, traveling, spending time with family and friends, drumming, dancing, karaoke and vision boarding!
