The Word Exposed - Look for the New Born King (January 5, 2020)

We are celebrating the Epiphany of the Lord today. The Magi from the East
travelled to Jerusalem, looking for the “newborn king of the Jews.” Herod was disturbed upon hearing this, while the chief priests and scribes couldn't care less even though they did know of the prophecy.
The Magi continued their search and followed the star. Soon they found the Christ Child and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. They did not return to Herod.

Friends, today’s feast reminds us that God wills to manifest himself to us and he sends stars or signs that will be useful in our search—but the question is.. are we looking for him?
