Back before Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was successfully imported to the American market we had a near miss with Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya, marketed in other parts of the world as Giraya Ninja but completely overhauled in the US to become Tacky Stretchoid Warriors.

Saddled with a strange play gimmick and an utterly bizarre new mythology Tacky Stretchoid Warriors came and went pretty quickly.
