African Union leaders attempt to solve Ethiopian dam dispute

African Union leaders attempt to solve Ethiopian dam dispute The African Union summit is looking at the dispute between Cairo, Khartoum and Addis Ababa over Ethiopia’s Grand Renaissance Dam and the appropriation of the Blue Nile River's resources.

The disagreement is over access to water: Ethiopia is building a dam which Egypt says will severely curtail the amount of reserves in the river.

Several attempts to resolve the disagreement have so far failed.

Al Jazeera's Mohamed Vall reports.
