Jadeveon Clowney is arguably the best pass rusher that will hit the free-agent market this offseason. Clowney was traded to the Seahawks who look to be unable to offer him the mega-deal he is looking for. Shaq Barrett from Tampa Bay might have had the better statistical year, but the Bucs are likely to franchise tag him which will keep him off of the open market.
The best option for the Eagles is to go for a discounted pass rusher who is either aging or has not produced big numbers in recent years. Robert Quinn and Vic Beasley come to mind when thinking of this kind of pass rusher. This would allow the Eagles to add some depth at DE while also not breaking the bank on a $20+ million guy like Jadeveon Clowney.
