How to upgrade and repair wood under sink areas for durability and water resistance

How to upgrade and repair wood under sink areas for durability and water resistance I got this idea from Meet Kevin about how to improve the under sink area where you have had some previous water damage. It was cheap, easy, and it made a big improvement in the appearance under the sink. We realized we had a leak in our disposal that was rusted and cracked. The old disposal was probably original to the house so it was over 20 years old. We replaced the disposal and I put this sticky vinyl tile down. I chose the bigger tiles so there would be less gaps where water could seep in. These linoleum tiles actually look good and were easy to install. Of course if there is mold it needs to be cleaned up and removed. I fortunately did not have mold but there was some staining and damage to the wood that looked ugly. Stop the leak first! Then fix the water damage.

Meet Kevin has some great ideas on low cost ways to get the biggest bang for your buck when doing home renovations so you don't over improve your home and make sure that the upgrades you do will add value to your property:
