Kobe Bryant & Daughter Gianna Among 9 Passengers Killed In Helicopter Crash - Latest Details Los Angeles Lakers & NBA legend Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash Sunday morning. Bryant was one of 9 passengers in the helicopter when it crashed, killing them all. Among the passengers was Bryant’s 13-year-old Daughter Gianna. LA area officials have declined to name the other victims, so we will not either.

The helicopter was traveling over Calabasas, CA, reportedly to a practice for Bryant’s daughter at the Mamba Academy. There were no survivors, and the cause of the crash is under investigation. Those crash details likely won’t be out for at least a little bit.

Kobe Bryant was a star on the Los Angeles Lakers for two decades, winning 5 championships and making 18 All-Star games before retiring in 2016. It’s a tragic loss of life and immensely sad for all those close to the families involved.

Kobe and Gianna Bryant are survived by their wife and mother Vanessa, and their daughters and sisters Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and Capri, who was born last summer.
