Laura Dern, Scarlett Johansson, Timothee Chalamet among guests at the Vanity Fair Oscar party

(10 Feb 2020) LAURA DERN, SCARLETT JOHANSSON, TIMOTHEE CHALAMET AMONG GUESTS AT THE VANITY FAIR OSCAR PARTY

Timothee Chalamet, Scarlett Johansson and more joined revellers at the Vanity Fair party as it stretched into the early hours of Monday morning (10 February 2020).

Bernie Taupin, Elton John's songwriting partner was also in attendance, Oscar in hand. The pair shared the award for Best Original Song at the 92nd Academy Awards, for "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again" from "Rocketman".

Taupin chatted about what the Elton-inspired "Rocketman" meant to him.

"It is more than special, I mean it is the story of our lives and you know, as much as the movie was a fantasy, there was a great amount of reality to it and the reality was the fact that he and I have just been like this for all of our lives," he said.

12-year old Roman Griffin Davis, who starred in Taika Waititi's "Jojo Rabbit" (which won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay), joked that he had come prepared to enjoy the party alongside his older fellow guests, quipping, "Well I've got my ID."

The annual party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills is one of the glitziest of night of the Academy Awards.
