I have always felt a dedication to educating the general public about the built environment and how design plays a role within it. I believe design does not have to be intimidating, it does not have to be for the uber-wealthy and it does not have to take forever to accomplish –three misconceptions all interior designers battle. Because of this, I spend much of my time working to establish a level of trust between the public and the interior design industry, especially with people who may not have had a great experience with a designer in the past. This includes writing regular blog posts about the interior design process and giving regular presentations about services that fall into the interior design category to local business groups.
I’m hoping that by continuing to speak out and broaden my platforms, that 'interior designer' will no longer get mistaken for ‘decorators’. I have a lot of love for what I do and I’m excited to begin sharing it with you.
