Seems an Asian girl was attacked in Subway station

at grand st. station. my fellow asian americans and people who wear masks, please please take care. don't travel alone if it's possible, be aware of your surroundings.

some info so this doesn't get taken out of context: lady was sitting on a narrow stairwell with a mask on. man walking up is obstructed by her, sees that she's wearing a mask and starts calling her a diseased bitch. He gets up in her face when she doesn't respond and tries to intimidate her. she tells him to go away, and he hits her head extremely hard before leaving the station. I started recording after that in an attempt to get his face.

no one stepped in as she was getting beaten with an umbrella until I pulled him off. he ran out of the station shortly after.
i truly believe that wearing a mask in NYC right now marks you as a target. so please be careful, and stand up for your friends.

Some people wants to protect themselves from the little chance of getting the disease by wearing a mask. It is better for yourself and other people. Please don't treat them differently.
