In Nevada in 1924, a Chinese national named Gee Jon was executed by the gas chamber for the first time in the history of capital punishment. Let's explore this event in-depth. For those of you who like this type of history (maybe it could be called crime history), this is a very fascinating part of history. Big shoutout to the Mob Museum in Las Vegas for giving me a great little introduction to Gee's story that inspired me to dig deeper. For anyone who visits Las Vegas, please go to the Mob Museum and check it out. There's a lot to learn about American history there!
