Bleak House Performed in a Bookshop

Bleak House Performed in a Bookshop When Charles Dickens wrote the classic of Bleak House, even he couldn’t have pictured, that some one hundred and seventy years later, it would be re-adapted as a musical, acted out by a cast of just five, and performed in a bookshop. Creation Theatre are the company that have taken on this incredible feat, as they condense this epic, originally written as a 20 episode serial, in to just two hours. Full of the atmospheric, heartwarming, comical, tragic and cooky characterisations that Dickens was famous for, this emotional ride through the bookshelves of Blackwell’s, was something that our reporter Tom St John couldn’t resist.
