In the face of COVID-19, what do we do to protect ourselves and care for others? Dharma Master Hsin Tao points out that all life forms are our companions for life, on whom we mutually rely for co-existence and with whom we are inter-dependent. With that in mind when facing the pandemic, we ought to carry on our daily life as ‘business as usual’ and begin with a mindset of repentance for reconciliations for all past hurts and damages we caused for all sentient beings. To dissolve the confrontational antagonism, it requires us to exercise respect and humility, as well as compassion, empathy, and love in our interactions with others. Furthermore, it is commendable to endeavor for life and peace by virtue of mindfulness and positive karma. When facing the pandemic, we unite to cooperate and keep our tranquility and stability undeterred. We steer clear of fear and keep safe when the heart and mind are calm. And the world is at peace when the heart is at peace. Stay tuned for more...
