The Grimoire of Elemental Castle consists of two parts.
One is the book itself, containing the will to create Patchouli's safe haven.
The other is the Nameless Queen, Patchouli's servant who carries out those wills.
And when half of it was destroyed, the other half seeks for her replacement.

The true final battle begins. Against someone whom we started our journey with. Each heroine has their own stake here. And the dialogues change depending on who was the closest with Tokiko. But in the end, the goal is the same. Free her from the clutches of the grimoire, and bring her soul back to her lifeless body.

Now let's talk about the fight.
First off, say goodbye to your team. You get to fight Tokiko only with the three "main" heroines. Fortunately, one of them is Reimu, so you can expect an easier time with her around. Koakuma on the other hand, while seem underpowered, is actually a versatile character that can pad out your team's lack of melee, danmaku, or healing power. You get to access the menu one last time before the fight. Don't forget to set her up then and there.

Now while there are many ways to approach this battle, ranging from "Why the hell did you make this harder for yourself?" to "This boss is easier than the tutorial fight!", there are a few key points you need to pay attention to.

The goal is to kill the grimoire. It won't attack, instead it'll use Tokiko for that purpose.
The grimoire is very resistant to damage. All incoming damage are reduced by 90%. So it's ill advised to attack it straight away.

Tokiko will always use a spell card in the first turn of the battle and the moment she's revived. The spells are her original spell card repertoire, meaning you need to watch out for stun, AoE, and one hit kill.
However, after that first turn, it's even more brutal. Tokiko will be able to act at least 5 times in a row, and her attacks really hurts. Caught unprepared you may get wiped out during this phase.

There's a silver lining however, Tokiko's HP is awful for a boss. She only has about 20k HP. That makes her very vulnerable to Reimu's spell cards. If you don't want to tank those attacks, better destroy her ASAP.

But once she's down, she's not out of the picture yet. The grimoire will, over the course of 3 turns, heal her back to full HP. After that, she'll rise back up and repeat her attack pattern.

During this downtime, however, the grimoire is left defenseless, while Tokiko herself become invulnerable. This is your chance to deal as much damage to it as possible. Carefully plan your skill and buff timing in order to maximize the damage you deal. If you don't think you can destroy the grimoire before Tokiko revives, spend some AP to prepare for the inevitable spell card instead.
