Rocking star Yash has become a household name across the globe after the stupendous success of KGF.

Yash's birth name is Naveen Kumar Gowda. He was born to his father Arun Kumar (who worked as a driver in KSRTC transport service) and mother Pushpa.
It took a while for Yash to venture into films. He had to prove himself by acting in teleserials in Kannada. His first teleserial was Nanda Gokula, directed by Ashok Kashyap.
He played a supporting role in director Shashank's Moggina Manasu for which he won the Best Supporting Actor award.
His first commercial solo hit came in the form of Modalasala, which hit the theatres in 2010.
Over the years, he delivered hit films and became one of highest-paid Kannada actors in Sandalwood in the year 2014.
He has also donned several hats in Sandalwood. He turned singer and rendered two songs 'Annthamma' and 'Annange Love Agide' in his films Mr and Mrs Ramachari and Masterpiece, respectively.
It is said that Yash and his wife Radhika Pandit met each other at the shooting spot of teleserial Nanda Gokula.
Yash and Radhika founded Yasho Marga Foundation which aims in helping the needy people. The couple had invested Rs 4 crores towards the desiltation of the lakes in Koppal district.
Yash starred in the costliest Kannada movie KGF, which is made on a mammoth budget of Rs 80 crore.
