My house was quite near, Willingdon Crescent, where I was living was quite near to this accident site, near Teen Murti Nala. So I heard the sound but we did not realise what sound was it. But within five minutes I got the call from Mrs. Gandhi's residence, from police that this kind of accident had taken place." Vidya Charan Shukla was a noted Indian politician and Minister from the Indian National Congress party. His political career spanned of almost six decades. He was a close associate of Indira Gandhi.
