This is our official Purple mattress review in which we take a look at the original bed, but the new version. It recently got a few updates and we felt that it was time to do a new YouTube video review. Ultimately, we're going to discuss who it is best for and not best for. This is our 2020 guide.
Feel: The bed feels completely new because of the Hyper-Elastic Polymer. It's unique and really comfortable.
Shipping: This is technically not a bed in a box mattress, but Purple is one of the original online mattress brands, and it's one of the best. You do get free shipping.
Design: This is a 9-10" thick bed with foam at the bottom and Hyper-Elastic Polymer on top.
Firmness: We call Purple a 4-6, so it's in between on firmness. Really comfortable, and able to accommodate all sleeping styles. If you're a side sleeper, back sleeper, or stomach sleeper, you should be just fine.
Temperature: The bed does a great job of regulating temperature and circulating in air. It helps to keep you cool and is one of the best mattress for hot sleepers. It's not really a cooling mattress, but one with good airflow.
Purple Hybrid Mattress: while this review centers around the Original Purple, the company also makes Purple Hybrid 2, which is a new mattress with coils. We've done a full Purple Hybrid review on our website.
Purple Hybrid Premier 3 / 4: In the past, the company used to make Purple 3 and Purple 4, but now they've merged those models to just call them Purple Hybrid Premier. They're softer than Purple Hybrid, but about the same firmness as the Original Purple Bed.
