Been needing to have a bench top router table so I made a quick project using scrap and left-over plywood. Nothing fancy about this one just to wanting to see what a router table can do.
- Started the project quick since there is an old cabinet drawer laying around and can be used as the router stand.
- Used 3/4" and 1/2" plywood.
- An optional acrylic sheet in making adjustable router template, DIY style.
- Hole saw is used in cutting the hole opening for the trimmer router.
- Tested cutting a circle whole and using a roundover bit to curve smooth the hole edge.
- Then proceeded to make the router fence.
- Drilled a hole and housing to make a dust extraction port for the vacuum hose.
- Sanded the plywood surfaces a bit and applied some clear gloss lacquer for some protection and beauty.
- Finally, tested the router table against the fence using a rabbeting bit to cut a deep notch on a piece of hard wood.
